Lido's wstETH has been incorporated into Base following its successful introduction on Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Cosmos. Since its launch in August, Base has firmly established itself as a prominent Ethereum Layer 2 solution, experiencing impressive user growth, offering distinctive applications, and fostering a thriving developer community.

The addition of wstETH to Base means that users can now leverage their staked ETH within the growing Base DeFi ecosystem. Furthermore, Base protocols can effortlessly incorporate wstETH, thereby improving liquidity and usability throughout the platform.

Base Ecosystem Grows Stronger as wstETH Integration

The wstETH Bridge on Base expands the benefits of Lido's staked ETH to users and protocols within the Base ecosystem, further enhancing the usability of Ethereum Layer 2 solutions. Initially, Base users can utilize Lido wstETH through decentralized applications like KyberSwap, Beefy, and Aerodrome, and there are plans for its integration into additional growing protocols in the near future.

This development marks a significant milestone in advancing the utility of Ethereum Layer 2 networks, enabling staked ETH to reach a wider user audience within the Base ecosystem and paving the way for a more interconnected and efficient DeFi landscape.
