In a significant crackdown on illegal crypto mining activities, authorities in the Republic of Buryatia have dismantled a mobile mining farm that was causing substantial financial losses due to unauthorized electricity usage. The operation, which involved three local residents, saw a truck converted into a makeshift mining facility equipped with approximately 100 mining rigs. These individuals illegally tapped into the local power grid to fuel their operations, with the assistance of two accomplices.

Local police, in collaboration with the National Guard, have detained all five suspects and initiated a criminal case against them. In addition to the arrests, law enforcement officials seized mining hardware from their residences, with an estimated value of 65 million rubles.
