On December 23, the XRP community launched the XRP Script project, aimed at implementing unique inscriptions in the XRP Ledger, starting with ledger number 84,789,000. Since its launch, market participants have actively used this feature to record data about the minimum values of XRP, similar to data recording in the Bitcoin blockchain.

This process led to a significant load on the XRP Ledger, similar to trends in other networks where similar features were recently introduced. According to XRPScan, on December 26, the volume of daily transactions in the network increased to 4.11 million, and the number of new activated accounts rose from 2,200 to 20,183 per day.

Wietse Wind, developer of Xumm and founder of XRPL Labs, noted that due to the creation of XRPL inscriptions, the network is undergoing a stress test, operating at a speed of only 50 transactions per second (TPS). Previously, the Ripple team claimed the ability to process up to 3,400 TPS, while Ripple's CTO David Schwartz clarified that the actual performance of XRPL is between 300 and 500 TPS.
