Sega, known for its gaming developments, and Line Next, a Web3 joint venture of Line Corporation, have announced a partnership, including an intellectual property deal. This collaboration will lead to the transfer of one or more of Sega's gaming IPs to the DOSI platform, launched in January 2024.

Sega Singapore, a subsidiary of Sega, has become a board member and validator node of Line Next's Finschia blockchain. This will allow Sega to expand the Finschia ecosystem, which hosts DOSI games and its partners, and promotes Web3 through the use of popular Sega IPs.

Despite predictions of Sega's possible departure from the Web3 sector in 2023, the company has confirmed its intention to remain in this field and integrate blockchain technologies into its games. This decision complements the joint proposal of Finschia and Klaytn for a merger.

Neopin, a technology company working in the Web3 space, plans to launch the first bridge connecting Finschia with Ethereum and Klaytn, expected by the end of February. This opens new prospects for Sega in the world of Web3 and blockchain games.
