The company Shrapnel, developer of a blockchain game in the first-person shooter genre with mining elements, has announced the introduction of new rules for its users in response to the detection of illegal strategies used by players. These strategies included team play and account swapping, giving some players an unfair advantage on the Shrapnel STX game leaderboard.
Players using these illicit methods were observed conspiring and coordinating attacks on other players, negatively affecting solo players. Additionally, instances of accessing the same gaming account from different devices were identified, which also violates the game's rules.
In response, Shrapnel has stated the implementation of systems aimed at detecting such violations, warning that any player violating the Terms of Service will be removed from the current STX leaderboard and may be permanently banned from the game. These measures underscore the company's commitment to maintaining a fair and just gaming environment.
The company has also urged players to report any instances of abuse, especially as the game prepares for full launch. It's crucial to identify all issues before the game transitions to fully operational status, particularly considering that players will begin utilizing NFTs and other digital assets for mining.
Shrapnel has also clarified the situation regarding players' participation in team matches, stating that only those users found engaging in unfair coordination to advance on the leaderboard will be removed.
