Taki Games expands gaming capabilities on the Polygon network

Jan 15, 2024

Taki Games, originally conceived as a cryptocurrency-based social app on the Solana network, has undergone significant transformations. The company, in collaboration with the blockchain studio Unite, responsible for the Kungfuverse NFT project, and through the acquisition of popular mobile games, is now preparing to launch an earning game on the Polygon platform, which is part of the Ethereum ecosystem.

As part of its development, Taki Games has successfully integrated popular games like "Bored Button" from Gabble Studios, boasting five million installations, and the culinary game "Mom's Kitchen" from Magic Game Studio, with over 150,000 downloads.

The financial aspects of this transformation are noteworthy: Taki Games invested $2.5 million in these mergers and acquisitions, including TAKI tokens. The company also plans to introduce its TAKI token to the Polygon network market, applying an innovative deflationary reward model known as "Takonomics." This model includes token buyback and burn mechanisms, reducing their overall supply in circulation.

Heading Taki Games is Weiwei Gen, the former head of Unite, with significant industry experience. He co-founded Rally Network and held key positions in the esports team Gen.G and leading mobile game developer Kabam. Under his leadership, Kabam launched successful mobile games, including "Kingdoms of Camelot" and "The Hobbit."

In 2021, the play-to-earn gaming market experienced significant growth, exemplified by the success of Axie Infinity. Taki Games aims to capitalize on this trend by distributing TAKI tokens to players during gameplay and incorporating in-game advertising revenues into the rewards system. Currently, the TAKI token is already integrated into 11 mobile games, with plans for availability across all the company's games in the near future.

Despite its active expansion in the gaming sector, Taki Games continues to support the TAKI token on Solana and plans to expand to various blockchain networks, maintaining its token buyback and burn strategy. CEO Weiwei Gen emphasizes TAKI's mission to turn global markets into real value for players.
