The Heroes of Mavia project, supported by Binance, conducted an airdrop of the MAVIA token after the project's mobile application surpassed 1 million downloads. The blockchain game, launched less than a week ago, has already attracted over 230,000 active users per day, enjoying particular popularity in China, Nigeria, Poland, Finland, and Canada. The airdrop involved 100,000 players, who were distributed 6.25 million MAVIA tokens, constituting 2.5% of the total supply of 250 million coins.
The developer of the application is Skrice Studios, which two years ago raised $2.5 million in a funding round led by Crypto.com Capital, valuing the project at $100 million. In a separate funding round, Binance Labs invested $5.5 million in the company, bringing the total investment in the blockchain game to $9 million. The MAVIA token is trading at around $3.2 and is available on platforms such as Bybit, KuCoin, HTX, and others.
This move is part of the efforts to expand the accessibility and popularity of the Heroes of Mavia game, drawing attention from players around the world and contributing to the mass adoption of Web3 games.
