The Magnificent Century and The Sandbox open up a new world of virtual sultanate

Mar 10, 2024

The series "Magnificent Century," based on the reign of Sultan Suleiman and his wife Hürrem Sultan, is soon to enter the metaverse The Sandbox. This collaboration aims to transport over 500 million fans from 140 countries into a virtual world reflecting the luxury and intrigue of the Ottoman Empire. As part of this partnership, an impressive collection of 1500 avatars from the "Magnificent Century" was introduced, allowing fans to embody their favorite characters.

Fans are invited to explore the Ottoman Empire through two exciting journeys inspired by its iconic scenes and narratives. The first journey calls upon players to delve into the heart of the empire, where they will encounter puzzles, battles, and parkour against the backdrop of Topkapı Palace. This virtual setting not only marks the golden age of the empire but also deepens the connection with the characters.

The excitement continues at the "Magnificent Century Social Center," where players can experience the drama of the harem at Topkapı. Here, fans can engage in immersive role-playing, form alliances, and weave rich narratives with other players.

The partnership also offers a range of exclusive prizes. Lucky avatar owners have the chance to win a historical tour of Istanbul, an online meeting with executive producer Timur Savcı, or one of 500 limited edition posters. Furthermore, those who complete quests in both experiences will share a prize pool of 50,000 SAND.

As the launch on April 9 approaches, excitement for this amazing virtual experience is growing. Players can visit The Sandbox events page here to learn more.
