Sui (SUI) today, January 15, is among the most efficient cryptocurrencies, reaching a record-high value of $1.43 (according to CoinGecko data). The last time the coin reached $1.4 was in May 2023, after the launch of the Sui Network mainnet.

The market capitalization of SUI has surpassed $1.5 billion, making it the 51st largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

The current growth of the asset is occurring amidst a broad market correction that followed the sharp rise of Bitcoin following the approval of spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States.

However, SUI stands out by moving in the opposite direction compared to the overall market trend. According to DefiLlama data, the total locked value (TVL) in the Sui network has risen to nearly $350 million today, while last week's trading volume ranged between $30 and $76 million.

The rise in the price of SUI coincides with increasing interest from industry participants. According to a report from the Singapore cryptocurrency exchange Jubi, SUI was the third most popular coin last week (from January 8 to 14), trailing only Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
