Bitcoin neared the $36,000 threshold following the dovish remarks made by FED President Jerome Powell, which came after the interest rate decision.

As optimism grows for the upward trajectory of BTC, three Bitcoin whales, who had remained dormant for approximately six years, have re-emerged.

As per The Block's report, three Bitcoin whales that had remained inactive since November 2017 have awakened from their six-year slumber. These whales have moved 6,500 BTC, amounting to a total of $230 million, to fresh addresses.

The fact that all three whales remained inactive since November 2017 and simultaneously initiated significant movements after six years has led to speculation that these whales might be linked or operated by a single entity.

BitInfoCharts data reveals that the initial Bitcoin whale, whose first address had not moved since November 5, 2017, recently transferred 2,550 BTC, resulting in a profit of $68 million.

Similarly, the second whale, which had not moved 2,000 BTC since November 5, 2017, recently executed a transfer, now totaling $71 million, and profited $52 million.

The third whale, previously dormant since November 5, 2017, recently transferred 1,950 BTC, equivalent to approximately $69 million, resulting in a profit of $53 million.

The motive behind these transfers, whether for selling or other purposes, remains undisclosed. Some members of the cryptocurrency community speculate that such transfers often occur in response to hacking attempts targeting older wallets and security weaknesses in them.

Additionally, it's worth noting that these whale transfers coincided with Bitcoin's recent approach to the $36,000 threshold.
