Players are invited to join an interactive cross-universe Aavegotchi game happening from November 9th to November 23rd. Developed in The Sandbox with guidance from the Gotchi French Army (GFA) Studio, this game lets you explore the Aavegotchi universe and venture beyond the Gotchiverse Citadel's limits.
In October 2022, the GameFi Alliance (GFA) discussed Aavegotchi on Twitch. Community members recommended featuring Aavegotchi in The Sandbox. This led to the formation of GFA Studio to develop a Proof of Concept (POC) exposure for both Aavegotchi and The Sandbox. On January 14, 2023, the POC was introduced to the Aavegotchi community for feedback and opinions.
Following that, the GFA team advised the DAO to kickstart the initiation process. In February 2023, the GMF (Game Maker Fund) was established. The official project unveiling took place in March 2023, following discussions within the GFA team and with the backing of Sebastian Borget, the DAO, and The Sandbox GMF. GFA Studio's primary goal became exploring the possibilities of connecting ecosystems.
Aavegotchi owners can get free avatars by linking their Aavegotchi wallet to The Sandbox account. Nearly 20,000 Gotchis have been moved to The Sandbox as part of an external avatar collection, which includes the Thaave, Bushido, and Pets sets in the Aavegotchi OG Equipment Collection.
Event participants who complete all in-game tasks will receive rewards of over 50,000 SAND and 500 GHST. Exclusive reward pools for Avatar 15K and equipment 35K holders will be distributed among Ripple Of The Gotchiverse Experience players. The community can also join social contests, get giveaways, and enjoy airdrops.
The Sandbox strategically chose to partner with Pixelcraft Studio, the creators of the Aavegotchi project, to craft a suitable storyline. Among the many artists within the GFA community is Stellar Hobbes. Individuals who own any part of the Bushido Set will receive an airdrop of 50 IRL volumes as a reward.
