Alien Worlds introduces msig.chat, a new web application for chat and DAO management on the blockchain, designed to facilitate decentralized and dynamic chat management in Alien Worlds and for the WAX blockchain communities. Supported by a Galactic Hubs grant, this application is intended not only for the sci-fi metaverse but also for a wide range of communities on WAX.

Msig.chat offers a convenient way of decentralized and dynamic chat ownership, which can prevent various inconveniences, such as when a chat creator refuses to transfer ownership to a newly elected DAO leader. The application features chat creation, storage of encrypted messages on the blockchain, proposal creation, push notifications, user profiles, community filters, and messaging functions, including emojis, replies, and pinned messages.

Users can create chats in two ways: through an existing WAX account with a configured multisig or by creating a new WAX account and assigning it a multisig, specifying the accounts to be included in the multisig. This is a key aspect of every DAO on the WAX network.

The application allows for the creation, approval, and execution of various types of proposals, including token transfers, active/owner account permission settings under multisig, enabling or disabling the ability to delete messages, and allowing or denying chat access to accounts not part of the multisig.

Msig.chat offers a new level of interaction and management for communities on the WAX blockchain, providing more flexible and decentralized chat and DAO management. The application is accessible via Anchor or WAX Cloud Wallet, making it a convenient tool for community management in the blockchain space.
