Blast Royale, Storm Warfare and TapNation games are moving to Immutable zkEVM

Feb 26, 2024

In 2023, there was a growth in the number of games transitioning to new blockchains or utilizing cross-chain solutions, and the beginning of 2024 further intensified this trend. At least 14 game developers announced blockchain switches, with Immutable emerging as one of the leading networks integrating games from various ecosystems. With the recent launch of the mainnet zkEVM, Immutable introduced four games that will be included in its ecosystem. French mobile game studio TapNation integrated web3 technology, introducing two of its popular hyper-casual games, "Giant Rush" and "Park Master," to the Immutable network. Philippe Lenorman, head of web3 at TapNation, expressed excitement about the new partnership with Immutable, noting that it will enable Web2 players to transition to Web3 and embark on a new amazing journey.

A few days after this announcement, First Light Games announced that their multiplayer mobile game "Blast Royale," previously hosted on Polygon, will transition to Immutable zkEVM. Anil Das-Gupta, co-CEO of First Light Games, expressed confidence that Immutable's technologies will simplify Web3 asset ownership, trading, and selling for players. Additionally, "Storm Warfare" by Janus Interactive Studios, also hosted on Polygon, announced its integration with Immutable zkEVM. In connection with this, Janus Interactive began collaborating with Polygon Labs to enhance the blockchain infrastructure of "Storm Warfare." "Storm Warfare" will be the first full-fledged game released on the zkEVM platform by Immutable.
