NFT collections from Yuga Labs, including the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club, have seen a significant drop in value in Ethereum, while prices for other NFT projects acquired by the company have shown growth amid increasing cryptocurrency values. The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) collection, launched by Yuga in August 2021, fell to a record low of 2.4 ETH for a collection of 20,000 pieces. Similarly, NFT Otherdeed, representing virtual land in Yuga's metaverse, also saw a decrease in value to 0.21 ETH over the last year, although they have recently recovered slightly to 0.23 ETH.

Despite the doubling of the ETH price over the last year, the significant increase has not been able to offset the drop in prices for Yuga's NFTs. For example, the minting cost of Otherdeed at launch was 305 ApeCoin, equivalent to $5,800, while the current minimum price of Otherdeed at 0.23 ETH is only $929. The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection also experienced a significant decrease in value, with the minimum price dropping to 15.29 ETH from a record 152 ETH.

While Yuga Labs collections are losing value, other NFT projects such as CryptoPunks, acquired by Yuga in early 2022, are showing an increase in value. This raises questions about the future of Yuga's Ape-verse in the recovering cryptocurrency and NFT market, especially considering the growing interest in Bitcoin ordinals and other leading projects in this area.
