On March 4th, it became known that CryptoPunk #3100 was sold for 4500 ETH, equivalent to $16.03 million. This CryptoPunk is one of nine unique "alien punks." According to information from the CryptoPunks platform, this deal ranked second in value among all NFT transactions from this collection, both in dollar equivalent and in Ether. The sale occurred after the seller outbid the previous offer of 4250 ETH ($14.56 million) made on March 1st, thereby raising the value of CryptoPunk #3100 to the second position in the ranking of the most expensive NFTs on the marketplace.

Last week, the total sales volume of CryptoPunks reached $8.25 million, according to The Block. In 2023, minimum prices for leading NFT collections, such as Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunk, decreased by 57.6% and 13.8% respectively. In February 2024, a rare NFT #1726 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection was sold for 275 ETH, which at the time of the transaction amounted to approximately $688,000.
