Dominic Young, Head of Business Development and head of the Korean branch of Oasys, expressed excitement about partnering with Metabora SG, a company that fully shares their vision for the gaming industry through blockchain technology. Kakao Games, the parent company of Metabora, has a respected history in the gaming industry with successful titles such as Black Desert Line and PUBG. Metabora has attracted attention with its blockchain games, including Skill Blitz, Birdie Shot, and ArcheStar.

This partnership aims not only to strengthen Oasys' presence in South Korea but also to leverage its already established network in Japan. The collaboration between Oasys and Metabora underscores the growing trend of gaming companies moving into the Web3 space.

Oasys is increasingly becoming the preferred network for renowned publishers betting on Web3 games. Ubisoft created its first blockchain game, Champions Tactics, on Oasys and even launched a free NFT collection for the game last year. Sega is also developing on Oasys, starting with its blockchain game Battle of the Three Kingdoms. Last August, Bandai Namco announced its AI-driven pet game on this platform, signaling a broader shift towards blockchain integration. This month, mobile game publisher Com2uS stated it would transition its games from the XPLA ecosystem to Oasys.
