Pontem, a company engaged in Web3 development, has announced the launch of its new L2 protocol Lumio, aimed at improving the scalability of the Ethereum network. This second-level solution utilizes Aptos blockchain technologies to enhance Ethereum's throughput.
Key features of Lumio include compatibility with Move VM and EVM, support for multiple virtual machines and L1/L2 networks such as Ethereum, Aptos, Optimism, Avalanche, zkSync, and others. Additionally, Lumio offers tools for creating cross-chain applications.
Currently, Lumio is in the testing phase in the Ethereum Sepolia testnet. Pontem plans to develop a universal L2 solution compatible with various blockchains in the future.
Alejo Pinto, co-founder of Pontem, noted that Aptos has high performance and low transaction costs compared to other L2 solutions. He emphasized that combining these qualities with Ethereum's reliability will allow scaling L1 networks to meet the needs of millions of users.
Pontem is a developer of Web3 services based on Move VM. Its ecosystem includes projects like the Pontem Wallet for the Aptos network and the decentralized exchange Liquidswap.
