Robinhood Connect has integrated MetaMask support, expanding access to cryptocurrencies for users of its trading platform. This partnership between MetaMask developer ConsenSys and investment firm Robinhood will allow Robinhood trading platform users to purchase digital assets using the Robinhood order book and transfer their crypto assets to the MetaMask wallet address. The service is exclusively available to clients in the USA.

Lorenzo Santos, Senior Product Manager at ConsenSys, expressed satisfaction with the integration of trading capabilities on the Robinhood platform with the functionality of the Web3 MetaMask wallet, emphasizing that the partnership will facilitate access to cryptocurrency, offering users more purchasing options through familiar and trusted services.

In December 2023, Robinhood expanded its services by launching a cryptocurrency trading app in Europe and providing access to spot Bitcoin ETFs for pension and brokerage account holders. In January 2024, MetaMask added an Ethereum node deployment feature, allowing users to delegate validator work without the need to purchase specialized equipment or participate in a mining pool.
