Solana Mobile recently announced the significant success of its new product, the Saga Chapter 2 smartphone, which garnered considerable consumer interest. Within just 30 hours of its official announcement, 30,000 pre-orders were placed, far exceeding the company's expectations of reaching this number within a week.
This smartphone, running on the Android operating system, features a built-in cryptocurrency wallet and a DApps (decentralized applications) store. The new Saga Chapter 2 model is priced at $450, making it more affordable compared to the previous model, which was sold for $599.
Solana Mobile is actively collaborating with developers, offering them a unique platform without application placement fees. Additionally, the company emphasizes support from projects such as Backpack, Tensor, Phantom, Solflare, Magic Eden, and Drip, which may offer various bonuses and rewards to the owners of the new devices.
The previous Saga version was in high demand, especially in the secondary market, where the device's price reached $5,000. Despite criticism of the first model and its low initial sales, the new Saga Chapter 2 version has sparked significant consumer interest. The new smartphone is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2025.
