Pixels announced the launch of its eagerly awaited PIXEL token through Binance, following a successful airdrop campaign that boosted interest in the game and the Ethereum sidechain Ronin. Founder Luke Barwikowski views the PIXEL token launch as a pivotal moment, akin to "day one" for the game as it fully transitions to its tokenized vision. However, the game's journey began not on Ronin, but on Polygon.

According to Barwikowski, the move to Ronin last fall wasn't a critique of Polygon but a strategic step towards an ecosystem with a significant and dedicated player base.
