The Aptos Fund has announced a strategic partnership with Daehong Communications, a subsidiary of the South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group, to explore Web3 opportunities and for global expansion. This collaboration marks Lotte Group's entry into the Web3 space, aiming to establish a specialized Web3 center. This center will encompass loyalty programs, NFT-based projects, and entertainment initiatives for various Lotte subsidiaries.
The partnership also involves exploring the potential of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and other Web3 applications across different divisions of the Lotte Group. As part of global expansion efforts, Daehong and Aptos plan to collaborate between the NFT project BellyGom and the South Korean national football team Baeho Eleven. This collaboration includes migrating some BellyGom NFTs to the Aptos blockchain to earn rewards that can be utilized within the Aptos ecosystem.
Aptos will serve as the foundation for the official loyalty program of Baekho Eleven during the upcoming Asia Cup in Qatar. With investment support from major players like a16z and Coinbase Ventures, Aptos has a market capitalization of $3.7 billion and focuses on providing user-friendly blockchain services.
