The company Sequence has announced a partnership with Google Cloud aimed at enhancing game development in the Web3 sphere. This collaboration will provide developers with access to cutting-edge Web3 gaming technologies and Google Cloud resources.

Based in Toronto, Sequence aims to simplify the process of creating Web3 games for developers by offering support for wallets and accounts, markets, smart contracts, analytical tools, indexers, node gateways, and other features. The platform also provides support for essential gaming functions such as user engagement and player rewards, and offers developers tools to create games for Unity, Unreal, web, and mobile devices.

The Director of Games at Google Cloud emphasized that through Sequence, game developers are empowered to focus on crafting outstanding gaming experiences for players. He added that partnering with Sequence helps to alleviate the complexities associated with Web3 technology, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both developers and players.

In November 2023, Sequence introduced Sequence Builder, a no-code development platform. Adding Google Cloud support to Sequence contributes to furthering the company's mission.

The President and COO of Sequence expressed the view that from the outset, the company's goal has been to enable developers, both traditional and Web3, to focus on creating great games, bypassing the complexities of Web3. He noted that the complexity of understanding and building blockchain infrastructure often distracts from the creative process of making quality games, resulting in low-quality products and deterring players from the entire concept.

After successfully closing a $40 million funding round in October 2022, the company is now focused on integrating Web3 as easily as setting up a game server. Sequence and Google Cloud are also collaborating with Rough House Games to support its Web3 RPG arena: Champions Ascension, aiming to create the best Web3 gaming experiences for the industry.
