The number of players in Pixels reached 1.1 million after launching on Ronin

Mar 10, 2024

Since its launch on the Ronin platform, the game Pixels has attracted over 1.1 million unique users, showing significant growth in the Web3 gaming sector. The number of daily and monthly active users in blockchain games is expected to continue rising, confirming their undeniable success. For instance, Heroes of Mavia reported exceeding 2.6 million MAUs (monthly active users), and MAVIA tokens have increased by more than 230% since their launch in February, even though the blockchain has not yet been integrated and it operates as a mobile F2P strategic game with future Web3 implementation.

Unlike this, Pixels, a browser-based social farming game, has been running on Ronin since October 2023 (previously on Polygon) and includes both NFTs and tokens. The game boasts over 320,000 DAUW (daily active users weekly), with about 275,000 retained and 25,000 new users. The influx of new users and a high retention rate indicate the game's sustainability beyond speculative trends and hype.

CEO Luke Barwikowski emphasizes the importance of retaining users, utilizing $PIXEL tokens, and attracting new players to achieve the goal of becoming the largest gaming company in Web3. With 2 million active unique wallets per month, Ronin has also experienced growth, thanks to player enthusiasm. After the PIXEL token was launched on Binance on February 19, it entered the top 200 cryptocurrencies in the world with a market capitalization of $440 million.
